Having discovered CBD and its’ benefits several years ago, CBD Centres’ director, Alex, became intrigued to find out more about this controversial subject. After satisfying himself with endless research, he pointed all those he knew in its’ direction.
Knowing himself, that the CBD world appeared confusing to newcomers, his vision for CBD Centre is to provide an easy, accessible experience with high quality organic products.
We are continuously reviewing sources and searching for new products in order to provide a variety of the finest quality CBD products.
In a world where concerns for the planet and our environmental impact have never been higher, at CBD Centre we have made sure that this is incorporated into our objectives. The good news is that hemp is considered a sustainable crop with low environmental impact. The main environmental benefits of growing hemp include the higher than average amounts of oxygen produced and subsequently the amount of carbon dioxide sucked out of the air. Another area of current concern surrounding other crops is the use of herbicides and pesticides and the effect that this has on surrounding wildlife. However, hemp is an incredibly strong and robust crop which requires none of these chemicals. Lastly the amount of water needed to grow hemp is on the low end, using approximately 50% less than other crops – such as cotton. The hemp plant has longer than average roots that bury deep into the ground and make use of the water and nutrients that are stored in the ground.
In short, we are proud to claim that from production to packaging, CBD Centre has had the environment in mind and kept our ecological impact low as we can.
We have also done our best to make sure that all of our packaging can be recycled or is biodegradable. For more information on our packaging please see our FAQs.
